When you actually see any of these "reasonable attempts," let me know. All I've seen so far is a bunch of half-assed "attempts" at closing the border. The latest "700-mile border fence" fiasco comes to mind:
Bush determined to build 700-mile border fence
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/15738992.htm
Will the fence be built, or even partially completed before President Bush leaves office? Here's your answer:
Congress has approved $1.2 billion for border fencing but the barrier envisioned by lawmakers is expected to cost at least $2.2 billion and possibly more than $6 billion. The Department of Homeland Security also has sent mixed signals about its commitment to building the fence.
LOL! Not nearly enough is budgeted to complete the fence, and even Homeland Insecurity isn't determined to go through with the project! I wonder if Chertoff will follow in Ridge's wake and go to work for a foreign (Islamic or otherwise) government? Perhaps Mexico?
Here's yet another doozy of an excuse from President Bush as to why the entire length of the southern border cannot be walled:
``It's a combination of fencing and technologies,'' said the former Texas governor. ``It's hard to enforce that border. You got some rugged country . . . stretches of territory where you don't even know where the border is.''
LOL! Ever heard of satellite and surveying technology, Mr. Bush (then again, Bush Sr. had never seen a supermarket scanner)? Hell, I thought there was a painted line that stretched the entire length of the border, like you see on maps and atlases! Besides, the fence (or wall, which is what should be built) doesn't need to perfectly run near the actual border. It can be off by several miles if needed. DUH! If the Chinese can do it, why can't (er, won't) we? No need to answer, I already know why.
Okay, I'll bite. What's so special about "Trueblackman," besides his name? And what is a "true" black man, anyway? Hey, truth... can ya help me out here? ;-D
It is kinda hard to come on a thread after working all day, and defend someones actions that are alleged. After a few hours, I looked at the candidates, Moonbeam hasn't changed IMO, and Poochigian seems to be the kind of pol that needs supporting. The money to Brown is out of step with what Savage says he supports, IMO again, he is probably doing this to tweak peoples noses. I think he does a lot of that.
Anyone watch the Bears @ Cardinals game?! WOW! What a turn of events! When da Bears offense stinks like Michael Moore's shoes, the "D" usually finds a way to win! YEAH!! GO BEARS! What a great finish to the evening, followed by the success of the Savage Nation thread! Due to the number of posts on the thread regarding Savage's "support" of Jerry Brown, Dr. Savage might be crazy... like a fox! :-D
Right on, Infidel! With the amount of taxpayer money being spent on health care and education of illegals, I bet a wall/fence could be built around the friggin' world!
Keep abreast of his website as he is going to do new material.
And putting a little money in vaulting poles might be less risky in the near future.
Exactly... I just don't get it

KEVIN ROCKS!
Source? Thanks.
Because, in this case, Michael Weiner is saying one thing--that he is a conservative--but his deeds say that he supports liberalism.
Indeed, he wrote a book titled Liberalism is a Mental Disorder. He then turns around and attempts to elect a liberal's liberal.
He owes somebody an apology--either the conservatives he has deceived all these years, or the liberals he has talked smack about.

Someone has already posted Kevin's picture on one of his many appearances on Fox News. He is a long-time and very active (and vocal) Freeper, who I've had the pleasure of meeting at the Freeper Inaugural Ball in DC. He is also with Project 21 (look them up - they're the good guys) and is a frequent caller to Hannity's program, usually in response to someone in the race industry such as Jesse Jackson or Sharpton.
And a courteous ping to Kevin for this discussion, which I forgot to do... (sorry!)
Ahhh... Thanks for the 411, bootless.
You're welcome!
