The Iraqis referred to President Bush as “Bush the Son” was to belittle him and of course connect him to his Father ex-President Bush.

"Depending upon the MSM to report seems a fruitless effort, although the material should be sent to them."

I recommend that it be sent to Glenn Beck. He does a segment on CNN called "The Real Story." He has also been involved in translating Arabic docs (not him personally!) I think he would report this....could get the ball rolling.

I like Glenn Beck, but haven't watched his new show but a couple of times.

Good idea! I have his contact address for his web site & will send a copy of jveritas' translation of this document.

Saddam would have tested his bomb in Libya where he had outsourced his nuclear weapons program to.

If you send this to CNN, chances are the only person that will read it will be some lower level janitor who will toss it in the trash bin with other conservative rhetoric,

"A. Prepare a public relation plan that aims to clarify the rights of Iraq, and bring up what is related to the Palestinian cause, and the call to strike the presence and interests of America."

jveritas, I'm a huge admirer of your work on these translations, but unless the Arabic reads very differently than the English I wouldn't make this item (A) to say Iraq itself plans to carry out the attacks -- it seems to refer to a propaganda campaign conducted by Iraq rather than Iraq itself carrying out the strikes..... now calling for other jihadists to attack "the presence and interests of America" is still very significant, and it still gives us good reason to have wanted to take out Saddam's regime.... but that's not the same thing as what the headline on the FR posting seems to imply, that the document reflects a plan by Iraq to carry out such strikes.

Saddam was clearly our deadly enemy, and an enemy of humanity, but I find the headline here could overstate the case on this one document.

p.s. I do find the statement about the plan to corrupt Security Council members such as France, Russia, China with contracts and economic incentives to work against the USA to be extremely significant -- we know that's what was being done with "oil for food" funds and future oil contracts, of course, but here in this document is a very explicity statement that the Iraqi govt. did mean to corrupt the UN process with contracts, etc.

Oh yes. All the leftist DemRats are repeating the same thing these days. They're setting up an alibi (excuse) for their future loss(es). If they win, it was simply (and I do mean simply) due to their vast expertise and intelligence, not to mention their experience and abilities. If (when) they lose, it was that damned Diebold manipulation by the Republicans and Rove, of course.

You see, the way leftists have it figured, DemRats really can't lose all that much. They've got a built in 'out' either way it goes. They truly are the party of dishonesty and self-delusion, although only some are delusional, while most are just plain dishonest. And as such, they are the 'last' thing this country needs in control at this crucial stage in history.

I don't know about you, but when I find myself chatting with a 'liberal' (neighbor, co-worker or otherwise)....
I constantly have to bite my tongue to keep from saying what I'm really thinking. It's better that way though. Best to leave them with their self-delusional dreams, wishes and DNC/socialist 'pie-in-the-sky' propaganda. If they're stupid enough to buy into all of it without question, then they're also stupid enough be a danger or a threat to Americans re: the loss of our freedoms and democracy. And that, to me, is just not negotiable.

The main issue that will hurt the Reps this November is the illegal immigrant problem. And since Bush wants to give amnesty to those who are already here, it's going to cost the Reps a lot more than they are expecting. That's just my prediction. I don't like it, but I think we need to face reality, unlike the lefties. But even that won't cause the Reps to lose control of both houses (I don't think). I could be wrong, of course. But I've been correct since 2000 re: my predictions.

___
Was chatting recently with a liberal neighbor about the upcoming elections. His take is that Republicans will win this election by manipulating the ballot process, and that the Dems are being much too passive about flaws in the new voting procedures and lack of a paper trail.

What is the difference between calling to strike the US interests and planning to strike the US interests? On Captain Quarter someone is saying the same thing as you do, but I myself do not the difference between two.

Smoking Gun!

Justification for a preemptive strike.

Slam Dunk!

Jveritas, like Mia T and Doug From Upland, is doing on the domestic front what our military is doing 'over there'.

We are grateful for your service, Jveritas.

Outstanding!
