Absolutely, and the people will be better represented than they have been in 32 years.
At this point in time, it is all about voter turn-out. If you live in the district, volunteer to help Diana Irey to find and contact every Republican voter there is. Tell them where to vote and how to get a ride if they need one. Call them. Knock on their doors. Whatever it takes. Every available Veteran and military family member and retired "Old Fart" Republican and conservative in the district needs to be in on Irey's GOTV operation if at all possible... starting today if not sooner.
In 2002, the district had a near 43% turn out (if I did the math right...) If Republicans turn out in higher per centages than Democrats, she needs fewer "cross-over" votes in order to win...and any additional votes after that will only add to her margin of victory. A 20% cross over vote, with maximized Republican participation guarantees a win.
For voters in the district, if you aren't working for the campaign, make a day or a night of the seventh. Take yer friends and families out to eat. Go bowling, vote, see a movie. Whatever works for you. Enjoy yourselves, vote, then enjoy yourselves some more.
