The so called comedians raised some 5 million dollars for autism research but could have raised twice that or more if they hadn't spent the night bashing the President and conservatives.

I stopped watching it about partway through. I didn't catch any real bashing up to that point (I believe you)..who was doing it?

Generally, I hate fundraisers like that, because I'd rather they all told us how much they gave, instead of putting together some silly skits. Also, as a mother of an autistic child, it just all feels so fake and useless.

I didn't watch much of it but it went about as expected when Moby took the stage. Jon Stewart was his usual self.

I'm not the type of person to throw fits when comedians take jabs at a president. Presidents have always been the target of jokes but in recent years the jokes have become just plain nasty and vicious.
