Actually there is nothing wrong with buying TVs or any other form of home entertainment from Wal-Mart. I have done so and will continue to. They carry the same brands and anyone else, just usually a later model of the product. They are able to buy these in bulk, with a large discount, which they pass on to us. I have heard many people complain about things breaking when they got them from Wal-Mart. The problem is that they throw it off as being a cheap product, when they could have gotten a lemon from any store.

I just think that, when it comes to a major purchase, I'd rather not go for the item from the store known for its discounts instead of its quality.

For the record, I have yet to see any of the high-quality brands at Wal-Mart. No Sharp, no Samsung, no Sony. I do have a $59 10'' Orion TV set up in my dorm room, though.
