As for the "plot" you cite as the real basis of Seven Days In May...I'm going to stick with the credited source, the novel. Just because you've come with a source with another view doesn't make it credible, at least to me. Trying to persuade a general to lead vets to protest the "silver standard" as a ruse to actually take over the US government doesn't cut it for me. Besides, this would have been in very recent memory of when vets marched on DC to demand benefits, and were ridden down by troops on horseback and shot, several killed!

As for this, I believe it is your wording, re Prez. Kennedy: "He had completed a Press Conference where he was quoted indicating this very thing. However, three weeks before it was to be aired...he was assassinted."

Come on. "Press Conferences" are to bring the press up to speed on urgent or fast-breaking events. By definition, they are NEVER held three weeks before being made public. They are live, never taped far that in advance, to be aired later. That absurd statement alone puts much of your argument in doubt.

What is written and reported happens to be factual.....end of story. You can make all kinds of assumptions, declarations, etc...but, it doesn't change the facts. The idiots on LF, for example, are still screaming that the planes that flew into the WTC were remote controlled......:)) lolol... The passengers on Flight 93 landed in OH, they were taken off the plane and disposed of....blah blah blah....Some people lie, some are in denial and others are either paid to disinform or lie to divert the public. Even others think that think they are historians, and think; "if I didn't know about this...then it must not have happened".. lolol...:)

The truth cannot be suppressed. It will always come out. People will also die, trying to spread the truth due to the agendas of total and complete cowards and traitors.......it's actually simple.

You are one of the many that will make attempts to downplay the truth due to whatever reasons. The 7 Days in May was a movie made about the event in 1933 that actually happened. That is no question, the only question is how to convey the truth to the American Public. The plot was swept under the carpet very well.....so well, you have no idea about this true story.

* Irenee Du Pont - Right-wing chemical industrialist and founder of the American Liberty League, the organization assigned to execute the plot.
* Grayson Murphy - Director of Goodyear, Bethlehem Steel and a group of J.P. Morgan banks.
* William Doyle - Former state commander of the American Legion and a central plotter of the coup.
* John Davis - Former Democratic presidential candidate and a senior attorney for J.P. Morgan.
* Al Smith - Roosevelt's bitter political foe from New York. Smith was a former governor of New York and a co-director of the American Liberty League.
* John J. Raskob - A high-ranking Du Pont officer and a former chairman of the Democratic Party. In later decades, Raskob would become a "Knight of Malta," a Roman Catholic Religious Order with a high percentage of CIA spies, including CIA Directors William Casey, William Colby and John McCone.
* Robert Clark - One of Wall Street's richest bankers and stockbrokers.
* Gerald MacGuire - Bond salesman for Clark, and a former commander of the Connecticut American Legion. MacGuire was the key recruiter to General Butler.

MacGuire was perfectly candid to Paul French, a reporter friend of General Butler's:

"We need a fascist government in this country... to save the nation from the communists who want to tear it down and wreck all that we have built in America. The only men who have the patriotism to do it are the soldiers, and Smedley Butler is the ideal leader. He could organize a million men overnight."
