"A centerpiece of this top-down scheme was Senator John McCain, the “maverick Republican” whose adulatory press was matched by a spate of large gifts from left-wing foundations to his “Reform Institute for Campaign and Election Issues.” Other media icons like Bill Moyers, with substantial foundation backing, joined in conjuring up an illusory popular demand for campaign finance reform. Even a bogus academic study was part of the mix." ---

Let's be honest for a moment.

Nearly NO Americans protested this CFR abomination. Rush Limbaugh, much to his credit, peered out of his self-congratulatory personality long enough the day after CFR was passed and wrote a brilliant article against it. He read it on his show. It was inspirational.

But, after that .......... he and the country never stirred too much over this totally unconstitutional CFR.

Face it kids, the media and the schools have successfully dumbed down America. You and I here at FR know it ........ but do little about it.

No, don't ask me what to do about it. My answers are a little extreme in some folks' minds.

"You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows." It was a great set of words back in the 60's. I didn't exactly know what it meant then. But being into the weather (snow, rain, the changes of the seasons) back in those days, I liked it and went out and had five hundred business cards printed with those Dylan words on them (still have a few). I walked around my city neighborhood putting them under the windshield wiper blades of parked cars. Nearly got arrested. Almost ended up on some kind of "Group W. Bench". ;-)

Damn........now our citizens still don't know which way the wind is blowing. The wind is blowing toward a world government (BARF) and the purposeful weakening or destruction of this once excellent Republic. Yet the people snore. How did they become so oblivious? I think you all know.

The socialist/Marxist media and the schools have won. Soros, the major league America hater is winning, and the media won't tell you. It's all one big club.

I'm wondering when will Mark Levin, Rush, or some other talker tell the total truth? Are they permitted? When will the people awake? I say .............. not soon enough.

Pretty soon we will be saying "the pump don't work 'cause the vandals took the handles".

****

The socialist/Marxist/liberal media is the most destructive, relentless, and ruthless enemy of this Republic.

****

Do not fear the enemy, for your enemy can only take your life. It is far better that you fear the press, for they will steal your HONOR. That awful power, the public opinion of a nation, is created in America by a horde of ignorant, self-complacent simpletons who failed at ditching and shoemaking and fetched up in journalism on their way to the poorhouse. -Mark Twain

"A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victim, and he wears their face and their garments and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared. The traitor is the plague." - Marcus Tullius Cicero, Roman Orator --- 106-43 B.C.

"How often we recall, with regret, that Napoleon once shot at a magazine editor and missed him and killed a publisher. But we remember with charity, that his intentions were good. - Letter to Henry Mills Alden, published in the Chicago Daily Tribune, November 11, 1906, pg. 3.

I see that you are on track, as my ideas are also considered radical or extreme, however, I have found to fit the scheme. It's how to get the truth out and still be believed or found to be credible. Once the truth is out, it's like cancer; you can put off the tests over and over until it's too late to fix it...the obvious signs are there, and when you finally get a check up, it's too late. It's going to be that dramatic when the domino's are set in place......

Thank you for the ping.

I agree with the observation made on this thread to the effect that Horwitz is endued both by intelligence and by experience to tear away the veils which obscure the dark realities of the left. Add to that the Transylvania-like fascination which surrounds Soros and you have the stuff of a walloping good conspiracy thriller. Normally I would shun the admittedly tantalizing temptations to run down the path's of intrigue and high-stakes conspiracy which undoubtedly could be indulged in any exposé of George Soros. I would shun the temptation because conspiracy theories are almost always wrong. But this time I'm not so sure. First, because the article lays out that there are many threads convincingly pointing to George Soros as puppeteer and one gets to the puppeteer by following the threads, that is, by following the money.

There is another factor which prompts me to keep an open mind despite the shadows of conspiracy alluded to in the article: everything Soros and his wholly owned subsidiaries have done are fully congruent with the motives and methods perfected by THE FRANKFURT SCHOOL.

So, because we can have confidence in the authors, because we should be suspicious of this Goldfinger, because the authors say the money trail points to Soros, because the MO comes chapter and verse from the syllabus of THE FRANKFURT SCHOOL, and because if such a conspiracy exists it poses the gravest risks to our republic and to our democracy, I think we must take a very close look at these allegations.

As a villain, Soros is almost too good to be true. He is certainly transnational; he has no affinity for, or stake in any single country. He is too elegant to be patriotic. He is too cerebral to love a country. He doesn't support countries, he breaks them. Soros is not confined to geography he has to do with principles, he is larger than patriotism, too big for national boundaries, too visionary for petty national interest. Nations, currencies, governments are but his playthings.

George Soros is arrogant.

But to say that George Soros is arrogant is to overburden the word. He is arrogance made flesh. He strides the earth as arrogance personified. Dr. No? Goldfinger? These villains are not arrogant enough to share the world stage with George Soros. As arrogance is the cardinal sin of all mankind and the very expression of the devil himself, George Soros is magnificent in his arrogance. He is Satanic.

Have I indulged in hyperbole? You judge, but while you do consider how Soros's character fits into this conspiracy theory.

The arrogance of George Soros is all of an elegant and polished type. He has even contrived to set down his epistemology for all to read. This is the supreme arrogance. He purports to know how we know what is real and not real. The Gospel according to Soros. But to establish his credentials he did not rise again on the third day, he just made a lot of money.

A self-made man of normal dimensions of vanity would content himself with boring us all with accounts of how he did it. Soros' conceit swells beyond mere vanity, he is not content with blowing hard about how he made his money, he wants to tell you how to think, and what to believe, and above all, to tell you what is really real. He knows how others deceive themselves but he has the true insight into reality. His pendulum theory of investments and markets is a symptom of this solipsism. His book is turgid beyond description and self-indulgent beyond endurance. But it must be so if he is to make a universe out of clay.

So Soros must play God, the oldest and basest sin of all. Hitler, Stalin, and Mao all played God and, interestingly, they all had their own epistemologies. Hitler had his myth of the Aryan superiority. Stalin his cult of the individual. And Mao is infallible wisdom. The historical examples are endless. The point is that not all these villains justified their power lusts on power alone-rather they all created their own worldview.

Ultimately, these epistemologies all come around to the man who would be king. Ann Coulter has identified it, they think they are gods. Hitler chewed the carpets, Stalin murdered out of paranoia, and Mao did little girls. These grotesqueries are far beneath Soros who would probably never even wittingly split an infinitive but he is compelled just as the others to play the highest stakes game of all in the temporal world. And therein lies his danger.

"A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. ...

WE rise up and vote - even per your tag line - or we prepare to let the Socialist Party take over - why does no one dare call it what it it?

And the Socialists will quickly turn our sovereignty over to the UN - in their blind-ambition, mistaken belief that they will be included in the top ranks of Rulers of the World....

but with America cut off at the knees by our enemies within, even they will be overrun and subdued by the barbarians - and once again, history will record the fall of civilization into another dark age. The only questions that will then remain is "How many centuries?" and "How many millions of lives will be sacrificed on it's alters?"

(Wonder what the archaeologists of 1,000 years from now will be digging up - Indeed, "Those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it." (And history - real history - has been systematically and with malice aforethought been removed from us schools...)
