Prosecutors, arguing that Ms. Stewart repeatedly flouted the law to aid the violent designs of an imprisoned terrorist client, have asked Judge John G. Koeltl to condemn her to 30 years in prison.

That would be a life sentence for Ms. Stewart, who turned 67 last week.

Naaaah, she'd get out when she was 97.

Remember Lynn, to drop the soap is to show your good faith
in your fellow inmates.

It's too bad really, I'd hoped to see her hung.

From the tone of her comments she seems to want to elict sympathy. The Judge should throw the book at her. She had plenty of experience and knew better.

“I ignored any warning signs,” Ms. Stewart said. “I led with my heart instead of my head and thought it would be all right.”

An ever present prescription for disaster.

“I led with my heart instead of my head and thought it would be all right.”

When I read this line, a scene from a Hellraiser movie popped into my head for some reason. The one where the demon chick is hanging out with the French guy and he tells her she can't go to America...well...he stood in Hell's way. This broad will be there soon!

“To me, the sheik was part of the demonized other,” she said, “part of a continuum” with other violent radicals she had defended more successfully, including members of the Weather Underground and the Black Panthers.

Unfortunately, there was/is just such a continuum. More unfortunately for her, Ms. Stewart decided to make herself part of it.

Good. Throw this horrid evil Red bitch in solitary and throw away the key. If I were the prosecutor, she'd have faced a treason charge.

Don't anybody get their hopes up. Judge Koeltl is a Bubba appointee, and this is in NY. No doubt Hillary has interceded for her by now with a big, fat pay-off in store for her when this treasonous bitch gets 3 years.

Death by hanging on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Traitors must pay the price and the country needs to see it. We have gone too soft with all this political correctness, multicultural sensitivity, "feel good" situational ethics crap. The same goes for that Johnny Taliban kid.

I am surprised that the lib/dems are requesting clemency & mercy for this traitorous bee-itch.....

30 years is not enough...she should get a firing squad at dawn!!!!

this diaperhead loving piece of shi-ite states that she was led by her heart to commit treason....just as muhammed atta and the other muzzie terrorists were!!!

she chose her side and it wasn't for the good of america...as a lawyer and officer of the court she was well aware of the law and the penalties.....

no mercy for treason!!!

Who Is Behind Lynne Stewart?

It was Ramsey Clark who urged Lynne Stewart to become the blind sheik's defense attorney. Clark's two previous choices, Center for Constitutional Rights attorneys and noted defenders of criminals and terrorists — including the Palestinian assassin of Meyer Kahane — William Kuntsler and Ron Kuby, had recused themselves.

On the CCR's links to the Vietnam antiwar movement and Soviet terrorist network in the 1960s-1970s, see my comments at:
