Still waiting to hear from a ham buddy in Honolulu. He was vacationing in the lower 48 for about the last month, and we think he was headed back home around now.

Hope he hasn't lost his antennas.

We hear that Internet users in the islands are experiencing widespread outages, so we're looking for him to come up on Echolink after that settles down.

I was wondering if there was ham activity out of Hawaii. It's hard to figure out exactly what's going on. "Widespread outages" has been translated as fearspreading by some news outlets today, but I figure they're probably doing better than some initially believe.
