Two things.....
The Tenth Mtn. leads the Army by a mile in retention.
Some of these caches would have been found in 2003 if we went in with enough troops.

I see your son is 10th Mtn. We will add him to our prayers. Fort Drum is in unforgivingly cold and snowy territory. Most of the troops and their families are not prepared for it. Twice a year for the past three my wife and I have run a clothing drive, especially for kids. We usually fill up two mini-vans with only good quality items then drive them from LI to Drum. At first we worked with a Chaplain who was involved with a teen group on post but he was deployed to Iraq. Now we deliver to the family center and the MWR folks take them. We unload then turn around and drive back. The clothes and other items are usually gone within 48 hours.

God Bless you for providing those families with clothes and whatever else. And we are very greatful for the prayers for our son. We are in California, and my son has not had much experience with that kind of cold. But, he will miss that cold for this winter while he's in Iraq.

I'm glad to hear this. Better to take the fight to them, then wait around and try to respond to what they do.
