Thank you. :)

You make excellent points.

Part of the problem, as I see it, is that politicos are self-selected. Mediocre, corrupt, dysfunctional, power-obsessed types with poor self-images are naturally attracted by the job description.

Anyone who wants the job is a priori unqualified. A possible solution would be to institute a search/nominating process, something akin to that used for university presidents.

About the only thing these professional politicians have going for them is usually, as with the Clintons, a large amount of gift of gab and blarney as well as a background in "speech" class in high school - where they are taught to be the devil's adovocate and argue both sides of some issue. - They have such well-oiled corrupt machines that they are able to dig up a bit of dirt on just about any candidate or their families and spend lots of money for slick commercials to inflate and misrepresent it. Candidates would have to be squeaky clean right on back to Adam to ever stand a chance of beating out these parasites. It IS ridiculous that such important jobs as are involved in running this government have been left to absolute phonies, crooks, momma's boys, and undisciplined and unskilled people. The voting public needs to be educated (somehow) to the need for skilled, productive in their own private lives, candidates and for the need to get rid of the dead wood parasites that are so abundant in all areas of governance. - These politicos you speak of are all so tiring in their self-described "public service" whining about how much they "sacrifice".

You are showing caricatures of the Clintons that look more like WHAT THEY REALLY ARE in my opinion than what we see of them in their publicity photo-ops. However, having said that, even in their most glamourous photo-ops, neither of them is all THAT. I have never understood their appeal from the get-go. Maybe it's because I'm a lifelong southerner and can spot a full of crap, phony, "good old boy" facade a mile away. It's not just the ubiquitous Clintons, of course, that I'm speaking of - it's way to many of them in Washington, although those two have it down to the finest science I have ever seen. One consolation I have is that, being 60 yrs. old myself, about the same age as the Clintons, I fully understand - they had better make good on their corrupt schemes (and the Clinton Dynasty has not materialized as planned) because their time is running out at warp speed. . and then they have to answer for it.
