Wouldn't surprise me, from what I know of the Clintons. They are total slime. She is Satanic.

excellent post.

The professional pol, a self-selected subspecies of Homo sapiens, is neither mediocre by accident nor corrupted by opportunity. The mediocre and corrupt are naturally drawn to politics, especially as it exists today.

I should have added 'dysfunctional.' Mediocre, corrupt and dysfunctional.

Mia - You did it again. Nailed 'em so artfully and in a medium that can only be done on the internet.

We know when the clintons were in the White House, they had in their possession the raw FBI files of almost 1000 Republicans.

I had completely forgotten about this. Of course they got the goods on Foley back then and all the others as well. They have a decade's worth of October surprises to drop on us.

" "Is there anyone Rahm Emanuel isn't fighting with?"

Men like Emanuel........and Ron Reagan for that matter, must be struggling with some wierd inner demons. How else to explain the anger, the nastiness?

FWI...IMHO...a public servant is just that...I expect their life...their financial transactions, whom they dine with and how they legislate be an open book....complete transparency and accountability...not an orchestrated "cover-up" by SeeBeeEsss...

More generally, its the jackboot--not tights and tutu-- that is a certain marker for profound dysfunction, witness bill and hillary clinton and all those other psychopathic little despots.

What can be done at this late date? Most average people don't feel qualified or knowledgeable enough to hold public office - and with all the big campaign money of the professional politicians from big corporations - the average person can't produce the slick ads that, sadly, appeal to the average voter. Unlike days of old, campaigns have morphed into grueling endurance marathons that no normal person even wants to attempt to survive. The American public is in general over stimulated, fickle and wants to be entertained.

We have often thought that a person may go into politics with the best of motives, but then the lure of the big money is what tempts many of them to cross over to the dark side. . but, you're probably correct that it has further morphed for the most part into just an almost totally corrupt system hinging on who can get the most loot for political favors, both personally and for perpetual political campaigns.

There has to be a bottom line payoff for the Clintons. As you may be aware I am sure, there was to be a Clinton Dynasty (allegedly) - 8 yrs. of Bill, 8 yrs. of a puppet Gore administration, and then 8 yrs. of Hillary - and after that a firmly established surely socialist government in perpetuity for this country - with an endless supply of FBI files in their possession. I suppose the plan was that we would be bowing to their framed photographs on our living room walls at the end of 24 yrs. of that gang of two, or IS IT MORE THAN TWO? - I think Bill's big payoff ambition to start with was simply to never have to really work much, to have all the "bimbos" he wanted, to never have to pay a light bill or rent; but now his ambitions have enlarged to include the Nobel Peace Prize and speaking engagements and Hillary's has probably always included herself enthroned in the Oval Office some time after Bill's Presidency.

"[Hillary Clinton] is in a perpetual state of suspended anger...."

"Hillary hit him between the eyes. She was angrier than Paul had ever seen her. 'You f**king Jew bastard!' she screamed."

[W]hen White House Counsel... Abner Mikva finally bowed to the law and delivered subpoenaed documents, she and her White House scandal team lashed at him with such a vicious streak of humiliating profanity that he resigned.

"Anyone that stood up... was smashed down and belittled, very personally. [N]ot only would she sort of humiliate you in front of your colleagues or whoever happened to be around, Hillary tended to kind of campaign against people behind their back, and that was certainly my experience."

former Clinton press secretary Dee Dee Myers
PBS Frontline, 16 Jan 2001
The Clinton Years

Longtime Hillary aide Carolyn Huber, who saved Mrs. Clinton's buns in 1996 with a convenient cover story about how her mysterious Rose Law Firm billing records magically appeared in the White House book room, described the former first lady's fits of rage to Sheehy as nearly lethal. "The person on the receiving end never gets over it," Huber remembered, reportedly shivering as she spoke those words.

Hillary's Scheme

Hillary's Choice
(New York: Random House, 1999) p. 11

The rages continued even after Mrs. Clinton took up residence in the White House, where she blew up at a Secret Service agent for declining to carry her bags. When the agent explained that he needed to keep his hands free in order to protect her, she replied, "If you want to remain on this detail, get your f**king ass over here and grab those bags."

The media cooperation with the socialist agenda has been very perplexing. Of course, I understand that the media types are just about all liberal Democrats. The MSM especially just could not handle the reality of their "golden boy", Clinton. It was amusing how busy they were during his Lewinsky episode to fix it for their boy, to make it all somehow okay for him and Hillary.

By purging DC of the professional politician and returning to the idea of the citizen-politician, we would break the power-and-corruption cycle. Post-9/11, we no longer have the luxury of time or circumstance to abide that nonsense.

We must field citizen-politicians of the highest caliber. As envisioned by the founders, the citizen-politicians would ''lend'' their expertise (What expertise, really, do the clintons have?) to government and then return to private life. The culture of access, influence and self-interest--and with it, the tyranny--would literally disappear overnight.

With their obvious excellence and assisted by the new technology, the citizen-politician would easily bypass the stacked system to capture the imagination -- and votes -- of the masses.
