If you believe that they should be strung up like Mussolini, then I suppose that you must feel the same way about the parents of Jeffry Dahmer, Ted Bundy, David Berkowitz, etc... Or how about the parents of those 2 Columbine idiots... Were they deficient as parents? Probably. Should they be persecuted by their neighbors? Well, my guess is that they probably are. However, I think that the stigma of just being who they are is going to be more punishment than they deserve.
The parents of Johnny Jihad seem to support that little ass-hat. That's fine, it's their kid. Though he should have gotten some long prison time at hard labor. If they support him publicly, then go after the parents.
But in this case, there's no evidence that this guy's parents are supporting him or his actions, and in fact, it sounds like they're trying to hide from what he's doing.
This sort of "transference" is just plain wrong.
