Police subdue 500 fighting Fohi students

Bottles, rocks and fists flew during lunchtime Friday at Fontana High School. Students poured out of classrooms around noon when, they said, a fire alarm rang. They then saw what they described as a racial or gang-related riot erupting among about 500 students on the quad of the campus near Citrus Avenue.

Some flocked to the chaotic melee with their cell phones taking pictures and recording video while others fled to get out of the way. Helicopters circled over the school.

"There were fights everywhere girls and guys," said Dalila Lizarraga, 16.

Campus police officers sprinted across four lanes of traffic on Citrus to the high school from the district offices when they got the call about a disturbance.

The fight started when one black student and one Latino student exchanged words, verbally taunting each other during a pep rally on campus, said Fontana police Sgt. Doug Wagner. It then became physical.

"After the two students started fighting, additional students of the same races joined in," he said. "At one point, a Samoan group joined in the fight, and that is when it got out of control."

Wagner said he did not think the fight was gang-related.

More than 100 police officers from different agencies, including the Fontana Police Department, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and members of the Fontana police SWAT team converged on the campus and pried students apart.

At least six students were arrested, Wagner said. "Two of them were charged with assault with a deadly weapon, meaning rocks," he said. "And the rest of the charges were for resisting arrest."

Sophomore Abigail Orozco said the fight was the biggest one yet at the school.

"It's Friday the 13th so maybe that's why," she said.

But students say fights are common on school grounds.

Folks outside Calif: These are "Gang Signs" being directed at the camera. They say," I belong to the "___________" gang, and we will get you".

Just a high school fight? Looks like the strreets of Baghdad, April 2003

A few FA bombs would do wonders for clearing out that little infestation...

Student ethnicity: Latino: 78 percent Isn't multiculturalism wonderful? Right about now we should have some open-borders types (Sinkspur? Dane?) tell us that this has nothing to do with the invasion over our southern border.

Follow the men in the campaign hats. Congratulations you are now head for Marine Boot Camp at MCRD, San Diego.
Once you get there I suggest you throw up one of those punk ass gang signs. That would make a much better picture than the one we now see you in. Don't worry about the ringing in your ears, it only lasts as long as your DI's voice holds out.

Not to make light of a bad situation, but I must...(L-R) "Hi, I'm with the Nipple Gang, care to join me?"; "Hey! Yearbook Gang, over here, I want to take your pictures."; "I'm the newest member of the 'Walk Like an Egyptian Gang. I still have a lot to learn."; "Yo, Holmes, my Tiny Sausage Gang will rule the school cafeteria. Yo."

Every one of these punks should be expelled.

Wait, wait... I'm sorry. That was insensitive. The real problem here is the facist, oppressive White Man System. Therefore, all white students will be sent to 5 weeks of diversity and sensitivity training, the students involved in the fight will receive taxpayer funded government grief counselors and the state will pay reparartions to the poor, oppressed gang members.

There, that should solve it. After we do all of that things like this will never happen again.

I have always been a pro-life kind of a guy, it's gotten me into a lot of trouble over the years, have even lost friends over the subject.
Maybe I need to rethink the issue.

Fontana students blame riot on simmering racial tension

Some students blamed Friday's riot at Fontana High on long-simmering racial tensions.

Jonathan Scott, 19, stopped by his alma mater to help out as a student assistant before the riot resulted in classes being dismissed. He said tensions between blacks and Latinos have been around for years.

"That I know for sure they have some issues with each other," Scott said. Many times racial slurs cause problems, the college student said.

Police, however, were hesitant to call the riot a racial one.

"I don't want to say this was racial," said Fontana police Sgt. Doug Wagner.

He did say the incident occurred after a Latino student and a black student got into a verbal dispute. The situation escalated when more students jumped in. He said things got out of control when some Samoan students became involved.

Antonio Albarez, 16, a junior, said he saw a Latino student pull a fire alarm, and as it rang, students left classrooms and a crowd formed. The Latinos and blacks were pushing each other, he said.

"They kicked everyone out in the street," he said. "People were throwing rocks at the police cars."

Gilbert Rodriguez, 16, a sophomore, said he believed the incident was gang-related.

"There were no weapons. It was a clean fight," he said. He said he saw police shoot students with a bean-bag gun. He also said he saw police use a tear-gas grenade.

Can we all say ANARCHY ? For more light on this frightening situation please read Pat Buchanan's "State of Emergency". The liberal press and radial professors and NEA Democrats have carried us down the road to this and I would guess this Sunday morning's news shows are still on track. Please note the feminine tone and lace-panty attitude of most reporters and news readers today who are cultivating a majority of thugs to rule the USA.

Fontana is about 80 miles (?) east of downtown Los Angeles, against the foothills. Not a great area, obviously. This is unacceptable chaos.
