Great stuff as usual Anita!
I was particularly interested in the secure fence initiative which I am certain will be singed soon by the President.
There has been a lot of brouhaha about the fence.
I even conjectured yesterday on EC's radio show that while the bill will be signed, will it be funded?
I have since seen new info that leads me to believe that it will be funded contrary to previous opinions I have had. Its here:

After reading what Michael Reagan had to say courtesy of David Horowitz I have had a change of mind on this issue and now hope more than ever that at least the 700 miles that are promised will be funded and built.
Reagan says he called Rep. Duncan Hunter who says the special language in the bill(which was used by the WaPost to demagogue the entire issue claiming it was only there to make sure the fence never got funded) says the language is designed to make sure the fence is built; not make sure it doesn't get built as the Wapost says.
With a choice between believing Reagan/Horowitz or the WaPost I will take Reagan every time. Hunter went on the say that the bill states,
"it says flatly that it shall be built"
Hunter goes on to clarify that the special language in the bill was put there to make sure the fence can be built "around buildings instead of through buildings."
Sounds good to me...how soon can they start.
In addition to the 700 miles of fencing I am still encouraging those patriots in the Minute Men org. that want to help border landowners build their own fences to continue on. Time is of the essence. Evey day we allow undesirables to come into the country (and I am not talking about those wayward elephants and Mariachi bands either)we become more endangered,IMHO.
Hi RodGuy
I can't find it now, but I remember seeing something over the last week that said that President Bush will be signing the fence bill in a 'big ceremony' - right before the election (IIRC it was around Oct 21)
