I agree about IDs. Mexico has a thumbprint on their ID which is dedicated exclusively to voting. I disagree about absentee ballots. If it weren't for absentee ballots, i'd be unable to vote in half the elections due to travel. Any security problems with absentee ballots can be fixed by requiring proper ID for physical drop offs.

Absentee ballots were intended for those people like you were 'physically unable' to vote on the date of the election. We have gone way, way beyond that now. Early voting is a big one. Absentee voting should still exist but the requirements for being able to do it should become stringent so that people don't vote absentee simply because they are fat and lazy.
