Never mind...
When I chide him, noting that journalists have in fact been very easy on him lately, aside from the Daily Planet, he barks: "Because it's a nothing little paper! Joyce Roy who writes for them? I know her brother-in-law! He doesn't like me! The other guy who writes about me is nothing! He's nobody! These people!"
I guess it pays to read the thread first, before asking dumb questions!!!
Thios is the dumbest ballot initiative in history. It's like it was written by a bunch of high school girls.
Borrowing, taxes, borrowing, taxes. I'm voting NO on all of them except Prop 85 and Prop 90, and 1A....
(next)
Nothing more. I just found the post informative as it highlighted some of the newer ways these initiatives are being used to prohibit any future correction in the law and further screw the taxpayer. They are refining the process; I'm sure we'll be seeing more of it.
I've pretty much decided to vote against all the measures except 85 and 90. Am I makin any mistakes?
Not that I can see. That is how I will vote.
I did the same thing... so now I'm giving you multiple responses! LOL.
Read #13. It was written by robber barons.
You can add my NO vote on Prop 87. Anything Bubba is for, I'm automatically against. My absentee ballot should be here any day and it will be my extreme pleasure to vote NO on most of the propositions.
I misspoke (miswrote?) about the 25% reduction over ten years goals. It isn't greenhouses gases but how much petroleum-based products are used that is to be reduced by 25%.
While I was sittin here tappin out the previous erroneous replies to you... Here comes another "pump and dump" fax wastin my expensive ink cartridge and my paper, pushin a brand new "penny stock" touting it with "CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR ARNOLD SCHWARTZENEGGER RELEASED THE BIOENERGY ACTION PLAN ANNOUNCING AGGRESSIVE ETHANOL PRODUCTION" to make everybody think this is some great righteous "ground floor" investment opportunity!!!
This "alternative fuels" pipedream is permeating everywhere because normally sensible Americans and Cauleeforneeuhns are freakin out of their minds over Arabs gettin richer offa their oil sales!!! It's really beginning to effect people's judgement and a lot of folks are gonna git hurt, AGAIN!!!
Not only is there one born every minute, the ones that sucked into Jimmy Carter's windmills and nose-wheel-drive cars in the '70's are suckin in again, only harder and harder! It's simply unbelieveable!!! Even I find myself driving extra miles to by three cents cheaper gas, but I buy lots of it and big tankfuls do make quite a difference!
But here we have the ultimate "SUCKER BAIT" ballot measure!!! I see all the dreamers cresting the hill, not knowing there's a sudden drop-off just over the crest!!!
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." -Manuel II Paleologus
Play 'dem pennies, SW! LOL. It's not Apollo Resources, is it?
Arnold announced the "Bioenergy Action Plan" back in July with Bill Jones and his new found company Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) in tow. PEIX is hooked up with Virgin's Richard Branson and some of the ex-Enron guys (Koehler comes to mind), as well as Bill Gates. Pacific Ethanol went public in one of those fandangled reverse mergers into an empty shell company (Accessity Corporation). They actually pumped that stock up to over $45 dollars (a market cap of about 1 1/2 billion) despite it never turning a profit. Last I looked it was trading under $15. Whether Ethanol, Hydrogen, Fuel Cells, or Solar, some folks are makin' a lot of money creating and trading a bunch of worthless stock (I am not saying PEIX is one of them, but many are).
Just vote NO on all of the props.
Normally I'd agree, but Prop 90 is well worth a yes!!! No doubt about it!!!
What they should have said [and were probably thinking]...
hahah, thanks. Jackie Goldberg is against it? Must get that one through. And Poochigian. I'd hate to see Jerry Brown moonbeaming around up there once again./roll eyes/
Yes, the initiatives are a joke. As are most of the 'lawmakers' in Sacramento (and I use the term loosely). Not one bill has been passed that has anything to do with reality -- get rid of C02/ pollution-free power/ broccoli-run hybrids? I'd like to clean house up there.
Yes as would many of us. There are 48 Democrats in the Assembly who need to go, and 25 Democrats in the Senate. So get involved and go campiagn against one or more of them.
