I asked the same question on another thread. I don't know the answer, but fully expect it to become an issue. The "marriage" was done under Massachusetts law and his congressional retirement is under US law; however, I have no doubt that democrats will fight tooth and nail after the election to make special provisions. It would be an outrage for the citizens of the United States to support Studd's "husband" for the rest opf his life, at what would be more than $100,000 per year. He seems young enough to eat up a few million at that rate.
