Scandal: House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wants to "drain the swamp" after more than a decade of GOP rule. She should hunt the crocs in her own party, starting with Harry Reid.
If Sen. Reid ever retires from the Senate, where he is Democratic leader, we're sure he'll show up on one of those late-night or early-morning infomercials telling of his secrets to making money in real estate, or hawking his autobiography. Suggested title: "The Art of the Under the Table Deal."
It's not easy to make $1.1 million on land you haven't owned for three years. But Reid did, just as stealthily as how Hillary Clinton made $100,000 overnight in cattle futures. Considering how much land the feds own, perhaps if Reid were interior secretary he could retire the deficit.
As the Associated Press reported, Reid bought some undeveloped residential property on the outskirts of booming Las Vegas in 1998. Then he sold it for the same price in 2001 to a company owned by longtime friend and casino lawyer Jay Brown, whose name has surfaced in organized crime investigations.
Reid received no money but an equivalent stake in Brown's company. Reid did not disclose the sale on his annual public ethics report or tell Congress he had any stake in Brown's company.

The profane term for feces is hitting the oscillitating cooling unit blades!
That right there is funny I don't care what anybody says.
Time to get a list of links going!
Reid also served as chairman of the Nevada gaming commission and decided cases involving Brown's clients.
Talk abour raining on their parade!
And it was one of the Dem's lap-dog media outlets that released it, so they can't blame Fox News or Karl Rove.
Reid can hold up a bank at noon, rape a little girl in the middle of Pennsylvania Avenue, and loot the US Treasury in front of tourists.... and the corrupt US media will say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
I don't think this is going anywhere. The MSM will ignore it. Also, why hasn't Reid been indicted already?
Interesting to compare the media treatment of this issue with their treatment of George Allen's failure to timely disclose some stock options. I have seen quite a lot of coverage on George Allen's options, with virtually nothing on this Reid issue.
Trivia for the movie "Casino". Robert De Niro's movie of true Mafia operations in Las Vegas:
Dick Smothers' character, Senator, is partly based on Nevada Senator Harry Reid, who was chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission. The scene in which Sam Rothstein is denied a license by the Nevada Gaming Commission is based on a December 1978 hearing when Harry Reid was the commission's chairman; some of Reid's statements are used in Smothers' dialogue. The scene was shot in an actual courtroom in the Clark County Courthouse, which was later closed in 2005.
Good post and good information at some of the responses. A tiny mention, maybe 2 sentences, tonight on NBC evening news, AP article, but no drumbeat to investigate. Reid Crime Family is old news, you know "old news, been there, done that" reaction from the MSM.
But at least here, and Rush, good info.
Yep but as usual, the GOP won't push this and nothing will be done to impeach Harry's integrity. The Dems just do a better job smearing opponents with lies while the poor Pubs try to use facts and appear petty. Too bad, Reid needs to be chastised as a poster boy of sleaze in the Party.
Thanks for posting. BTTT! The enemy within.
Sadly, no one will see this on MSM!!!
