"Who are you to put God on the witness stand? Can God change His mind for some divine purpose we cannot comprehend? Sure. ... "

LOL - Since God Knows everything that is, was, and will be, "changing his mind" would mean changing the future ...

Kind of negates the entire meaning of "moral absolutes" doesn't it ? .. When God could command Moses " thou shalt not kill" then later command Moses to kill all the male children ?

... and now we are suppose to ignore the one in the middle and fall back on the " not kill" command ?

Jesus said " do unto others" ... he didn't say "thou shalt not " ...

... and he surely did not say to keep your enemy from procreating.

You are ignoring my examples. The Bible clearly says that Lot, Moses, and Jonah bargained with God. If God has His mind made up, what would be the point of writing it in Scripture? Then there is no hope in prayer. The word "prayer" means to ask. What would be the purpose of prayer then? Jesus asks us to pray. So we pray. God makes the rules and we follow, that's the way it works. If God wanted to wipe out people, why not? He IS god. He is bound to the promises He makes to us and WE are under the covenant He made with us by His laws. He IS not.
