Allen ran over your dog, didn't he? Your hatred's so vicious that it's GOT to be personal. He's not a sleaze, he's not a racist, and he's not a crook, no matter how much you and the LIBERAL Free-Lance Star, Washington Post, Richmond Times-Disgrace want to portray him that way....

...Nope, just believe that a state which produced Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Harrison, Tyler, Wilson, Robt. E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, JEB Stuart, A.P. Hill, Joseph E. Johnson, even George Thomas, Chesty Puller, George Patton, whew! (as well as John Warner, Harry Flood Byrd, Mills Godwin, et al) can do a lot better than a carpetbagger from California with half a brain.

It so happens that none of those guys are on the ticket this year. There are two viable choices:

Allen
Webb

I'm voting for Allen not because he is perfect but because he is good enough, and because-in case you didn't notice-control of the Senate is up for grabs. Nevertheless, you are free to vote for whoever you like. You can even write in Thomas Jefferson, although he isn't likely to be available to serve if elected.
