IIRC the death penalty is completely abolished in Britain, am I right?

I think it's still in place for treason. Theoretically, we could hang him.

A good old fashioned public hanging would send the right message. Too bad the Tyburn tree is long gone.

Nope. It was removed from the statute books a number of years ago. I believe it's a condition of EU membership that none of the members are allowed to have the death penalty as a legal punishment.
