Seoul is only 30 miles south of the DMZ so an attack could be executed VERY quickly into the metropolitan center by infantry troops from North Korea. The longer they shell with artillery to prep the attack the more time the U.S. military has to get there. The South ALSO has artillery and counter-battery assets that we have to consider in the equation. I call one million enemy soldiers a target rich environment.
