Whole lot of crap.

And on this point the issue is not "support" in a vacuum. It's support of one side versus another side.

Not only do most American Jews support Israel but poll after poll has proved that most Americans support Israel.

An extraterrestrial with a shred of decency who could discern truth and is not poisoned with anti Semitism would support Israel vis a vis the barbarians.

But not Rice.

You may have noticed that the most pro-Israel Democrat was recently thrown out of his party, in a blue state with a sustantial Jewish population--all with little anguish from US Jewry. Very few people related the conflict to Israel. Maybe I shouldn't? And a cursory read of Ned Lamont's blog-support was shocking in its overt antisemitism. Leiberman may make his way back into the Senate, but it is now very safe, politically to be anti-Israel. George Soros may not get his Senator, but he's gotten big momentum--lots more than a trial balloon.

I can remember a time, not too long ago, that there was no political safety in being anti-Israel, and the faintest whiff of antisemitism was political death.
