Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says Palestinians deserve to live better than they do and be "free of the humiliation of occupation" in a state of their own.
"I promise you my personal commitment to that goal," Rice said at a dinner marking the third anniversary of the American Task Force on Palestine.
"There could be no greater legacy for America," Rice told the group, which describes itself as nonpartisan and supportive of a Palestinian state living side by side with Israel.
"The Palestinian people deserve a better life ... free of the humiliation of occupation," she said

Now in the open. Rice is anti Israel.
File under: Why do Jews vote for Democrats when Republicans (Particularly Republicans named Bush) are Israel's best friend ever.

I guess all those PLO hijackings and suicide bombings finally got around to paying dividends in both political parties.

Get real. Israel should either declare annexation of the territory or work toward separation and an independent state for the territory it doesn't want to annex.
There's nothing anti-Israel in the statement at all.

Man, she actually used the "O-word"? ....yet another attempt to "win hearts and minds" in the Arab world, no doubt.
The only solution to the Palestinian squatter problem is the "T-word."
Transfer.
Mass transfer.

By the legacy of Andrew Jackson who loved and respected the Indians perhaps more than any other American President in history, I can not see how this kind of address is anything but misguided, and the resultant engenders disrespect, indulgent hatred and a reaction in time to continued spiteful violence that will leave them more oppressed both by their own hatreds and in actuality by the rational of us who know what we have to do to protect ourselves and those we love.
You cannot feed spite and we-are-a-victim-of-others social ethos and expect peace -- what you get is bitter chaos and strive.

That's the terrorist enemy's propaganda. If that quote is accurate, our Secretary of State is spouting the propaganda of our enemy!

Rice is following in the footsteps of James Baker and he was carrying the water G.W.'s Father. This remark is consistant with his father's, "I'm just one little guy" remark when they were twisting Israel's arm to come to the negotiating table with Fatah and Arafat. One can only conclude that the Bush administration has turned on Israel.
The comment his father made, led directly to attacks on Jews in the US. Rice's remark will embolden every Jew hater from here to Indonesia. It is now a much more dangerous world because of her for all Jews.

Now in the open. Rice is anti Israel. What?
Hasn't this been the policy of both the U.S. and Israel?

"Get real. Israel should either declare annexation of the territory or work toward separation and an independent state for the territory it doesn't want to annex."
Well, the illegal aliens here in the USA don't even do suicide bombings at kids' parties. By your kind of logic, we should certainly make them all citizens with full rights and responsibilities, or give them their own state within our country (our whole west coast, for example).
"There's nothing anti-Israel in the statement at all."
If that's true, there's nothing anti-American about the statement above, even if I were serious.

Rice is right.
They would already have this, were it not for the greed and perfidy of their leaders and allies.

I would like to ask Dr, Rice just what the p[alestinians have done to deserve to be free of humiliation and to live better.
Was it the kidnappings? The missiles across the border at innocent civilians. The blown up busses?,Maybe it was the attacks on Christians. Maybe it was the looting in gaza. Just wondering what it was that makes them deserve a better life.
I think Dr. Rice just stepped in the dog dirt.

Today the President said:
"If we were to abandon that country before the Iraqis can defend their young democracy, the terrorists would take control of Iraq and establish a new safe haven from which to launch new attacks on America."
Change Iraqis to "Palestinians". Change America to Israel.
Didn't they vote for Hamas. Don't they support terror. Haven't they already proved that they would do just that, attack Israel at every opportunity?
He added: "We can't tolerate a new terrorist state in the heart of the Middle East"

Hell, I gave up on the Bush Administration quite some time ago. And I never, for the life of me, understood why people here once wanted Rice to run for president in '08.
