Perhaps but there are some bits of truth.
If democrats don't win BOTH houses and win by comfortable amounts then they are toast.
In order to be viable they need BOTH houses.
I am not buying the "we are doooooooomed" hype. Democrats have cried wolf too many times, hippies have smoked pot too many times, and GWBush has been misunderestimated too many times.

avoid the YouTube censorship attempt with above links. youTube slapped a controversial label on it ONLY because it was against democrats. The anti-republican stuff is still open to all
Kim (Mentally) Ill shot his... bomb at the most perfect time. How can we ever thank him?
Rove? No, couldn't be. Rove, you magnificent bastard.
thanks for the link.
Do YouTube admins slap the label on, or do users request the label(ala wikipedia?)
Well, I disagree. If they get the Senate, all further improvement in the US Judiciary will come to a halt--most importantly, the Supreme Court. There are still five leftists on the Court.
OTOH, if the House, there will be endless hearings about Iraq, Wiretapping, Sex Scandals and ultimately, impeachment. And, the house has to initiate appropriations. How well do you think, say, missle defense and support for the WOT is going to fare with a democrat controlled committee.
All that said, you are correct in a different sense. If the dems cannot win this year, they are toast. This is the year they ought to win for several reasons:
* sixth year of a presidency is ALWAYS a big anti-incumbent election--even for Ronaldus Magnus,
* unpopular war,
* effective slagging campaign against R's for six years in the media, and
* R's shooting themselves in the foot with their open-borders, spend lots of money stance in Washington.
If they cannot take at least the house or the Senate, it means their disconnect with the voters is terminal.
