As a staunch conservative, I favor a full military withdraw from the Korean Penisula. President Truman went to war without any consent from Congress and later said that authorization by the United Nations was enough, however, as being fiercly anti-communist, I find myself sometimes conflicted. We're techincally still at war with North Korea, with some 38,000 troops still on the 38th parallel. I believe the United States should simply cut all relations with North Korea, including diplomatic, place a complete economic embargo, and sell nuclear arms to South Korea to provide a real deterrent. Amazingly, I still see and hear guys in three piece suits, with college degrees, telling us as "experts" that we need "diplomacy" or "dialogue" with a member of the axis of evil.

Clinton made no progress whatsoever. He concluded a treaty at the bidding of the Peanut Farmer, which the North Koreans had no intention of keeping and did not keep. NBC News is either uninformed or intentionally lying. Their entire reason for being seems to be to elect Democrats. Which is not surprising, since most of the people at NBC News are Democrats.

I read where Matt Lauer's wife filed for a legal separation. NBC was sufficiently upset about the prospect of their golden boy getting divorced that they apparently put some pressure on. The Lauers are still married - for now.

Oh, and wasn't it Andrea Mitchell who said that everybody in Washington knew who Joe Wilson's wife was - until Andrea suddenly got amnesia? One upside to a Scooter Libby trial would be putting Mitchell on the witness stand.

This is why I don't rely on news from the MSM anymore. They are too out of touch with reality, more like celebrities in Hollyweird than journalists.

North Korea ain't even abiding by the South Korean Sunshine Policy.

Instead of funnelling money, gas, oil and technology into North Korea as bribes, President Bush and Ambassador Bolton drafted what is called the Proliferation Security Initiative. Bill Clinton propped up North Korea, President Bush is tearing it down without firing a shot.
