At the risk of offending those who practice that enlightened "Religion of Peace", I'll remind them the company has a work break policy for ALL its employees.

For them to have any case that Muslims are discriminated against, they'd have to show that non-Muslim employees get multiple prayer breaks at fixed times during the day, regardless of job responsibilities. I'm sure they don't.

As for them doing night work... Perhaps that's because most of the breaks these employees "need" are during the day? So Muslims are scheduled for night shifts so that the employer can get work out of them, without having to pay them to practice their great enlightened "Religion of Peace."

If this offends them they are free to seek employment elsewhere. We don't follow Sharia law in the United States... yet.

Actually, it's fixed positions of the sun, so the times change daily (slightly.) Try getting smoking breaks set up like that at your job...

I worked at an institution with a woman who observed funky "holy days" and also expected to take off the days others had off.

When senior management told her she'd have to do make-up work for the additional time off, she did for a while, got mad, quit, and darned if she didn't leave the country.

Agreed, but it seems like the more PC we get with the ROP crowd, the closer we come in this generation or the next :-(
