How about you paint all the Sharia-compliant taxis green, and let the consumer choose who they want to patronize at the airport? I bet the yellow cabs will be getting a heck of a lot more business than the green ones.

My take is this : Giving the consumer a choice here would mean allowing sharia-compliant cabs to exist. I say no-I don't believe a Jewish or Christian cab driver would be allowed to enforce his religious beliefs against fares, so moslems shouldn't be allowed to, either. If moslems are allowed to refuse fares based on religious beliefs, they will not see that as a sign of sensitivity, but of fear, of "feeling subdued", of voluntarily assuming dhimmitude.

I say smack 'em down. And it appears that the city of Mineapolis is going to do just that, even if the airport is caving.
