So, do you have any explanation for why the "I AM A MAN" placard that was the slogan of the Memphis strike is in the background of the photos I've presented?

i suspect but do NOT know that the pictures are from the garbagemen's STRIKE, rather than from the MARCH, which followed the STRIKE.

there WERE lots of "I AM A MAN" signs at BOTH the picket-line AND at the MARCH.
