Frankly, this is proscribed by God for Israel to perform in the same situation.
Adultery is a crime against God and one's spouse.
I believe Jesus settled that particular question.

Stoning is barbaric, and far more evil then the sin it is intended to punish.
Not since Christ came on the scene and advised, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."
