In addition to all the issues you mentioned TX, we don't pull out on the ROK because it would send a signal that the US can be bluffed by thugs into running away. That was the mistake Clinton made in Somalia. Character in Leadership DOES matter. Back out on the ROK and it would lead to more and greater challenges down the road. You back down a thug by confronting him, not running away from him. Run away on the ROK and you embolden your enemies and alienate your friends. Then the next thug is emboldened to square up with you. Eventually you ending up having to fight. Better to wade in at once then let them gang up on ya.

So THAT is the Vital US National Intrest at stake here. It is a test to see how the US responds. THIS is why, no matter how pissed some are at the GOP about what ever issue is near and dear to them, Freepers got to hang with the GOP Nov 7th. Leadership matters. The 'rats ain't got it.
