The parents KNOWING AND WILLFULLY put their little lambs in harm's way to serve THEIR OWN (selfish?) egos by ministering in a country HOSTILE to anyone not a muzzie. Doing self-less God's work? BS! These parents knew DARN WELL what could happen and by keeping their kids in such a place with the chance that the kids could be brutally tortured and murdered "while doing God's work" (martyrdom??) is pretty darn close to muzzie parents who hope that someday their kid might blow himself up in bus station to achieve "martyrdom."

You should read the book Jesus Freaks. It is a book of personal testimonials of worldwide martyrs for Jesus Christ past and present. A best seller. AND HOW IS GOD'S NAME can you compare the missionaries with suicide bombers is beyond me.

While I am sure they were quite aware of the danger when they moved to Pakistan, I think staying home and doing nothing about the Islamic horde as they invade the country is far more selfish than what they did.
Most Americans are letting the other guy take care of it, and living for themselves. It is not humorious to see those who do not go, and do not send, mock the price those who go pay to accomplish what we are all called to do.
To see them called selfish, when they are the primary example of selflessness is the pinacle of Ugly Americanism.
