You're wrong. The koran directly calls for violent deaths for mohammed, the words of Christ forbid it. Christs standards are much higher than the moon gods.

Moral equivilancy doesn't work on this forum, as a geneal rule.

Interestingly, or perhaps not so, you are pretty much wrong yourself. The Quran specifically forbids killing people unjustly. References to killing are in the context of people attacking mosques and what have you. People do quote mine both the Bible and the Quran and use out-of-context quotes to try and make a point. Such activity is highly dishonest and leads to endless misunderstandings.

For example, I will use this quote from Deuteronomy, taken completely out of context, to show how Christianity supports violence:

"I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the long-haired heads of the enemy." (32:42)

or this:
"And when the Lord, your God, delivers them before you and you defeat them, destroy them utterly. Make no covenant with them and show no mercy to them" (Deuteronomy 7:1-2).

It would be stupid to think that these implies Christianity is an inherently violent religion, and it is equally stupid to think that quote-mined passages from the Quran are any different.

My original point, though perhaps not clear originally, is still valid: Christianity and Islam both have murderous followers who kill innocent people. That does not mean that either religion is bad, just that some purported followers are.
