I think people need to realize that there are no options and nothing will be done. We have been down this road before. People will come out and talk - my speeches - condemn - and so on. In the end nothing will change. Nothing will change except we will now have a nuclear North Korea (and soon Iran).

We just have to get over it. President Bush will do nothing. The world will do nothing.

But you will do something. Oh, yes. You will.

I still think we might do something about Iran, at least I hold out hope. NK is like a porcupine. We could kill it, but we'd get some quills and it would hurt like hell. There's an off chance they'd do something stupid and attack somebody, probably SK (if they do I say let SK deal with it.) With Iran we have yet another pretender greedily eyeing the holy grail of dominance over the Middle East, along with a generous helping of jew hatred and covetousness over Iraq. Their sabre rattling is far more likely to be leading up to something than NK, imo.

OTOH, who knows what the NKs are likely to feed the Iranians. It could all be connected, and this could be but another step down the slippery path leading to the coming conflagration.

"....we will now have a nuclear North Korea (and soon Iran)"

We've had a nuclear N. Korea all along, not "now". I heard this twice on the radio driving in to work. "N. Korea has now gone nuclear" and "N. Korea has now joined the club of nuclear powers". Is this dem talking points? As if to say that under the Bush watch N. Korea has gone nuclear. Um, whose fault was it to begin with, let's try Clinton. Thank you.

Positive attitude....not.

What exactly is Bush to do at this point? Thanks to the policies of Bubba that pretty much handed NK everything they needed, Bush is stuck with two options:

Diplomacy using regionl partners to hammer on NK at the UN and overall internationally or;

Military action which would likely trigger a Korean War that would take significant focus from our WOT - at a time when we really need to put a laser beam focus in Afghanistan and Iraq. Can we fight NK and win? Yes, but if that happens Iran will make it's move in the Middle East while we are engaged in NK and not as focused on Iraq and Afghanistan
