Democrat response: Bush is just trying to change the subject from the very important issue of gay pornography.
With any luck he's anouncing that the arrows are already on their way to N. Korea.
FOX news is saying that a call for an investigation by (unsure who they said) on the failed policy of the Bush Administration concerning North Korea. Did anyone catch that?
He is joining the Democrats in calling for Hastert's resignation.
"We must stay the course in Iraq..."
We need you, Peach... ;-)
Thanks for the thread Kelly.
Thanks for the heads up. I just turned off the tv and would have missed President Bush speak.
While everyone is at attention, 10:45 AM Eastern is the time when the bells will toll in PA and other places for the little Amish schoolgirls killed.
Rove pushed the button on the North's nuke test... He thought the whole Foley gay thing was being over played...
Now 9:55AM ET. The WH must be getting last second info.
2 MInute Warning just given.
If the UN fails to act decisively NOW, then the USA needs to pull out of it and evict them.
I heard him, he says the world will respond.
Gosh I am sooooooooooooooo scared of the UN or the WORLD.
WTF is with Fox? Still showing:
Breaking News >> President Bush to Make Statement at 9:45 A.M. EDT
The statement is over and they're asleep at the wheel...
I think the President just laid out the plan for dealing with NK.
Up until now, North Korea merely had a missile program. Now they have a nuclear capable missile program, and their test sites might have just been targeted. It would make perfect sense to take out every missile making facility in the North, immediately.
Let's see where the UNSC goes, and if they waver one bit, if there is any sign of obstruction from China, or Russia, or anyone, I would look for the President to act decicively, and with overwhelming force against the NK missile sites, and with the assistance of South Korea and the Japanese.
Up until now, Kim Jong Il never actually stepped over the line to confirm his country has nuclear weapons. If this proves to really be a nuke test, the gloves will come off. If South Korea is smart, they will start mobilizing troops and calling up reserves to reinforce the DMZ...
According to the Dems. This is all Bush's fault because he has such weak foreign policy.
