John eFF'in Kerry tried to do the same thing when he made that comment about Mary Cheney being lesbian during the debates.
All he succeeded in doing was making the viewers wince, showing his true colors, and demonstrating honed demoncrat skills at lowering the bar regarding public discourse and public politeness.
I don't think the DBM has any clue how much anger this has generated towards them.
