Hard to find much information on it. I remember a while back that quite a bit of yellow-cake was found in Iraq and figured it was probably fairly easy for them to get some.And if I remember correctly, radiation poisoning can cause profuse bleeding from orifices.

Then again there was probably a lot of chemical manufacturing going on during Sadam's reign.

I was thinking this sounds like radiation poisoning, maybe in combination with ground glass in the food and warfarin.
