These spin stories are CRITICAL to the left.
They are intented as viral.
They become a bootstraping MEME.
Every little DJ or low level am station just repeats AP stories.
Even neighborhood newspapers lift ap stories.
They know these stories are a lie.
The AP is just following the lessons of Goebles and repeating the lie.

The GOP needs a leader with the balls to fight the AP and the rest of the socialist queers at the NYTWPCBS etc.
Until then I guess they will shape the debate and we will just weakly respond.
