Despite The Foley Scandal, Some Issues Can Carry G.O.P. Through
In the wake of the Mark Foley sex scandal, Republicans are doing their best to hold the party together in the face of the upcoming election in which Democrats are making serious threats to retake control of Congress.

But I do agree with the title. If Republicans fight back, talk about the economy, the war on terror and that the Dems only offer weakness towards our enemies, higher taxes, and more spending, Republicans have an excellent chance of keeping Congress.
And, of course the very important part: Get out and vote Republican. This is no time to stay home and sulk about one issue or another and allow the Dems to destroy the country. Get out and vote Republican, or we'll end up with Speaker Pelosi.

I hope they win .Not for me but for people that I care about.
Of course, this is all a carefully planned, developed campaign that is proceeding according to a meticulous timetable, with the full cooperation of the media propaganda machine.
Republicans can & will win!
My friends and fellow church members agree that the Republicans will win because they are not going to take the dumb message of the MSM to stay at home and not vote.
Would help if I could, but I live in Maryland.
Are you helping Steele?
It's still about Foley destroying the chances of
Republican. The Foley was never about protection of the children.
I just got back into the state. No. Why do you ask?
Same here. I haven't heard anyone (including anyone on this forum) say that Foley's sickness will stop them from voting Republican. I think the dirty tricks will backfire on the Dems.
Despite media zogbyism and partisan witchhunts, the Republicans CAN still win.
The media told this lie in 2004 too that "Kerry would win" using Zogby's bodus poll numbers.
From your lips to God's ears.
I have but one thing to say to CBS news.I intend to vote straight ticket republican even if they commit murder!
I can't quite figure all this out. Are the commie libs now trying to tell us that it's no longer OK to be a homo? Are they taking action to purge all the Dem. homos out of the House?
Thanks for compiling the info.
This is something I have been wondering about.
Let me start by saying that IF Mark Foley was trying to get sexual with underage kids, he is sick and deserves what he gets. However, I have so far not seen anything that shows me he was doing this. The emails, while they may seem to be creepy, do not show any sexual stuff. I also see someone concerned with age as he seems to ask the age question alot in the emails. The sexual stuff that has been out in IM's, to my understanding was with an 18 yo. Which would not make Foley a pedophile. All we have really heard so far is media spin. Is this guy just gay or is he a pedophile? I can't say that I can label him a pedophile until I see something that shows me this. Nothing so far, and so far no charges.
Think about how gay men are, the way they talk and their mannerisms, maybe this is what came out in the emails as over friendly. Most of the gay men I have come in contact with at work or in general have seemed overly friendly, even to me and I am a woman. It is just the nture of them.
My main point is, what if he truly is not a pedophile? That would mean the dems/MSM not only labled this guy as such falsely, but used it to try and destroy the GOP. I am not convinced he is a pedophile--I am waiting until all the facts come out before believing the MSM/dems at face value. I guess it's the paralegal in me, but I was taught not to rush to judgment.
Thanks again for the info.
Of course we can
There ain't a chance in hell I would trust Democrats with the WOT, My Taxes or anything else for that matter
The Republicans destroyed their own chances long before Foley came along. Yes, I'm going to vote Republican, but it's not looking good for the Republicans, nor is it looking good for the country no matter who wins.
