Tom Kean is 41% to Menendez' 44% today after their debate. I really wonder about the voters in NJ (my appology to any NJ Freepers) electing Corzine for Governor and possibly returning Menendez even though he is under investigation and is a very suspect character.
I saw Tom Kean on H&C Friday night and he is not the best candidate, so I can understand why Menendez is running ahead of him and his statements about Hastert, without knowing the facts really made me dislike the man.
Looks to me like Ford is going to pull it out in Tennessee because he's run a smart campaign... in a lot of areas "we" are just not running good campaigns. Look at how they pulled the $$$ out of the race in Southern Arizona because their favorite candidate didn't win the primary.. they have a candidate that could bring out the voters and actually turn a RINO seat into a conservative seat, but he isn't speaking the party line....
Pay no attention to the polls. They are designed to lower the turnout for republicans.
That's because "we," you and I and other Freepers, are not the ones running these campaigns. And that's because we didn't get involved years ago, particularly right after the 2004 election.
November 8th I'm going to start working on the 2008 congressional, senatorial and presidential races, getting involved in the day to day BS of the party. We owe it to our country.
It's obvious we're smarter and better than the guys on our side doing it now. The difference is they're doing it and we're talking about it.
I don't think that's going to happen. I lived in Tennessee 15 years, was well acquainted with Memphis politics, and Ford could get elected to his Rep job until the cows come home. Local you know.
Statewide, I don't think this will ever happen.
You got to learn to be a bit more positive. The only poll that matters will be taken on Nov 7th.
