They are using Patty Wetterling, the DFL (Wellstone Stalinists) candidate from the 6th district in Minnesota, as their lead and to set the tone for their handling of la cage aux Foley. Her only claim to fame is that her 11 year old son was kidnapped and "presumed murdered" by an armed man in 1989.  Presumably it was a homosexual child predator, "just like Foley," therefore she's an expert.  Of course, that means the Democrat attack is on all homosexuals as child predators, but the DBM won't go there.

Once again, as with Cindy Sheehan, a victim gets used to push lies and half truth attacks because she is not subject to criticism. McCaskell is merely echoing the theme Wetterling put forward in some nasty and inaccurate ads and on the Democrat radio response on Saturday.
