The last time I checked, Foley had resigned and sex between consenting adults was legal.

If you're saying that we should burn the rest of the Republican Party at the stake because of Foley's activities with an ADULT - then yes, you are a minority on this site, as most of us don't expect perfection, even from Republicans, and resigning after a screw-up (with possible criminal charges ahead) is fine with us.

Aw shucks, there goes my perfect republican response strategy.

I was going have Foley get in front of a camera and have him wag his finger (yes just his finger) and say in all honesty "I never had sex with that f#@#@#g f@gg#t !!!!!"

That's all it would take to remind every voter that what they would get with voting for the demcrats would be demonstrably worse. Of course pubs have no b@#@s so continue to expect us to whine and apologize and hold endless inquiries.

Thanks to the Supreme Court, yes it is. But that wasn't always the case. Until pretty recently in fact, sodomy was illegal in many states. In some cases, but not all, that included heterosexual sodomy. The Supreme Court struck down the Texas (same sex) Sodomy law in 2003 LAWRENCE V. TEXAS (02-102) 539 U.S. 558 (2003), reversing the decision of an earlier Supreme Court decsion BOWERS v. HARDWICK, 478 U.S. 186 (1986)

Many state laws had been struck down by state courts. Not that many were actually changed by the lawmakers.
