What the Pommy Conservative Party needs is someone like John Howard. A fair dinkum conservative!

I like John Howard. Reverting back to the subject, Bush is not going to go on forever. If John McCain takes over the Republicans, a possibility still - are you going to be equitable and say the Americans are stuffed?

I've not heard John McCain say he supports gay marriage.

Mind you, if McCain does become President, America probably will be stuffed.

Yes. Like the ones I mentioned.

I think the last great ruling house was the Plantagenets.

Elizabeth I was good, but no Henry V. The Stuarts were ineffectual, the Hanoverian Kings really were controlled more or less by Parliament. William Pitt was a great leader like Churchill. Had George III not sacked him the U.S. would probably still be part of England.
