I think that given what this could mean for Iran and the world that I'll refrain from comment. God be with you all.
I hope God and whatever U.S. aid we can provide is with them.
Interesting about the Arabian thugs used to keep order there.
Probably the same bunch of lunatic Wahhabists that our oil funds in to the Saudis.
Somewhere, the House of Saud should be on our hit list.
Thanks for the ping! Good to "see" you.
a big Houston Howdy for you from a fellow Houstonian...
Oh ...I think they are on someone's list...somewhere over the rainbow.
This doesn't seem to have hit the radar in Iraq. Of course, they have so many problems of their own here.
I know that most Iraqis would support a free Iran. For one thing, it would keep them out of Iraq's business. For another, Iraqis WANT freedom, despite what the media says, and freedom has a tendency to be contagious. ;-)

This link is to KRSI. None of this is reported. That's not a good sign.
I arrived back in Baghdad a week ago yesterday.
Nice fall weather here now. :-)
Those are the Bassij. Nasty bunch. Been beating up students and humiliating Persian women for being insufficiently covered. In a very real way Iran has been occupied far longer than Iraq and by far uglier people.
There is probably jamming of radio signals going on.
Thanx for the ping!
Keep your head down, sweetie. We're praying for your safe return to the States. Any news of this Iran business hitting you there?
Howdy back atcha!
I just spent almost a month in Houston on leave. It was GREAT to be back there. I went to two Texans games while I was home (vs Eagles and the Redskins) and they were awful. They waited until I LEFT before finally winning. LOL
MARKER
Helen, we support this Ayatolla's revolt. He wants things like church/state separated over there. He has a lot of followers who want to get rid of the current regime. I don't know that they can.
Check the link. I may be wrong but it looks like they're reporting like business as usual.
Amen to that! Good to see you here.
There has been a resistance movement in Iran for a while now. I've been wondering when it would escalate. I hope this is it.
lol and glad you got home for a nice visit and some good food....I live in LA now but was back "home" in April ate all the blue bell I could get hold of and enough tex mex to fill me for another year or so:) sorry bout the Texans but understand the frustration
