Anna Politkovsakyas attack on Russian Ortodox Church: Анна Политковская., «Новая газета»: Крайне опасная активизация православной церкви, предлагающей отменить либеральные ценности в стране. Одна из мракобесных ветвей православной церкви, как известно, имеет сильный доступ к уху Путина, я думаю, ветры веют именно оттуда. "Novay gazzetta": Outmost dangerous is activisation of Russian Ortodox Church, that is working to destroy liberal values in Russia. One of DARK SIDES OF CHURCH have seemenly influence on president Putin and there is where are the winds blowing from" Woman was nuts, she accused CHURCH that have "DARK FORCES" that influence Putin. http://demos-center.ru/reviews/10717.html

I understand where you're coming from as far as the newspaper headlines, but I don't think you can rule out the Russian government as a possibility. Of course, others would have reason to see her go too, and I'm not saying for sure that the Russian government did it. Only that I think it should be considered as a possibility. That's the tough part. With so many people not liking her, finding out who killed her is going to be difficult.

Soros is a very evil man, I agree. He spent millions of dollars trying to get Bush defeated in 2004. His organizations and "foundations" also support anti-American and liberal groups in the US.

The Russians wouldn't get any useful information from Bush and his people by using a visible surveillance device, such as a floating balloon. That's much too obvious and the secret service would see it immediately. More likely, the balloon had mini-cameras attached to it that were keeping an eye on the entire area for anyone trying to do any harm to Bush.
Although journalistic freedom has certainly declined under Putin, I would say that overall Russia has moved way forward economically under Putin and he's done well at the very difficult job of stabilizing the post-soviet Russia.

He could have said nothing at all.

She was wrong about that issue. The Russian Orthodox Church is the source of truth and light in Russia.

The moral actually is, Putin is a snake. He is also a charcoal brickette. The rest is commentary.

I may talk right now and I think I will. Gunning down unarmed women over politics is wrong, anytime, anywhere. No women, no children.

Newsweek was traveling with the President on that trip and they did a very long article on how Putin was spying on the President the whole time he was there and how Bush just shrugged it off and tried to use humor to lighten the mood at the summit.

I'll take a look at that but I doubt that Newsweak writers know anything about spying. Anything that Newsweak writers can see is not a real spying method, if you ask me.

There is only one part of the article that was refuted, and it wasn't the spying portion, but the portion about Bush ribbing Putin about what was in his notes before they went out to speak to the public together.

I've never forgot, for one minute. The day I heard he was going to be in charge in Russia the hair on the back of my neck stood on end, and all of the President saying he's looked into his eyes and all that hasn't changed my foreboding about that man.

We can blame Clinton for taht too.
-When he started bombarding Serbia, Russian PM Evgeniy Primakov was over Atlantic en route to Washington. He ordered plane to return to Russia.
- Yeltsin was blamed at home that his incompetence and... alchoholism made Clinton possible to do what he wants and Russians pushed Putin to replace Yeltsin in tha same year Clinton attacked Serbia, in 1999.
- talks about START II protocol of dissmentling Russian nukes were over at moment when bombs started to fall on Serbia. Russian delegation just walked out saying in of the record "What? Are we next?"
So... its Clintons fauld aswell...
