I think Christ offering forgiveness to man as he's dying on the cross is all the verse and chapter we need.We are to be followers of Christ and live as he lived.
It don't get no clearer than this. God offering forgiveness to man even as man was mocking,laughing,beating and executing him.
But, Jesus only offered salvation to the criminal who spoke sincerely to him, defending him from the mocker, and asking for Jesus to remember him. It was only to him that he said "Today you will be with me in paradise".
He did not reject the mocker, but he only spoke to the one who acknowledged him as the Son of God.
So you're one of 'those' Christians who reject the Bible then. Interesting.
