Excellent letter. I looked at the emails that Foley sent, and I find it ironic that how could anyone find these were in anyway sexual. Hastert did the right thing and his hands were limited with this "evidence" on just how much he could do since Foley was an elected member of the House. The only thing, at this point, that Hastert knew was emails to pages might not be the best thing to do. No wonder the FBI said don't bother me with this crap. The IM are another story and Hastert did not know about them until the famous Friday.

You are right, sexual activity that the RATS had, they should have been expelled and charges brought.

I agree about the emails. And .. since the IM's were a "PRANK" .. do we even know that any of them are legit ..?? They appear to have been a cut and paste job - which to me smells of a hatchet job on what Foley actually said to them.

And .. the 18 yr old has admitted that he and Foley did discuss sexual issues. So .. I'm betting this was more a give and take of information .. and NOT THE SOLICITATION of sex by Foley.

Foley's overly-friendly attitude to young men is totally understandable. I'm not saying I approve of his actions .. which are suspect, but no physical contact was ever made with any of the Pages .. and that tells me he's not a pedophile .. just a gay man.
