ABC Scrambling to Put Some Meat on Ross' Story
The American Thinker ^ | 10/7/06 | Clarice Feldman

As time passes, it is increasingly clear that the ABC News report which started the Foley firestorm is odorous—and I’m not talking Chanel.

(1) It dealt with the emails which the FBI and many media organizations considered as innocuous as the Republican leadership did. Who circulated these reports is not yet clear.Foley’s spokesman said his opponent, Mahoney had been shopping the story to the media for some time....(much more)

Was the ironically named Rep. Studds called a pedophile?

No,  after he had sex with the boy I believe the Democrat party nominated him "Man of the Year"

And anybody that sees an email from a 50yo gay man to a 16yo boy asking for his picture... they should be asking some serious questions.

The report he was 16 is erroneous. He was 18.

Wasn't ABC the network that was "stalling" the Monica story? The Drudge Report finally blew the Monica story while ABC was still contemplating (I suppose how to spin it for Clinton) on how to "report it."

Simply saying something doesn't make it so. You need proof to back up those conclusions. And right now AP, PEW, even Carville's own polling unit can't give those conclusions validity.

People vote in private. When polled they tend to be honest about how they will vote. Unless you are gay and a house page, you will not be thinking of Foley when you vote. You will be thinking of issues (economy, war on terror, taxes, gas prices, etc. etc.). The Foley Scandal is not really relevant to everyday Americans. Democrats are currently weak on the issues, so for them (It's the Virtual Sex, Stupid). That is why this story is not getting voter traction. Also, most people expect October Surprise stories now. They have become old news, dirty tricks and tools of those who are weak on the issues. We Americans know that now.

You raise an interesting point we have been discussing regarding the priest scandal. One day the headlines disappeared and the stories were relegated to the back pages. This happened when it became apparent that the victims were not in the 5-10 year old range but in the 16-17 year old range -- still digusting in my view but not pedophelia. The conversation started turning to the presence of homosexuals in the priesthood, and then the stories pretty much died. Same here with Foley -- at some point, Foley's homosexuality would become the issue and the story will die.

the feeling on the street is that the liberals are "outing" and bashing gays. The liberals are equating pedophiles with gays. Not good to alienate your base.

I know one homosexual guy and we hold very opposite views on the lifestyle. But he is wildly P.O.'d about the coverage and the use of the word pedophile here.

But I'm sure he'll still vote for the Dimwits.

I've had verbal contact  with three. The guy who does my hair said  "Who's Foley?" and a Gay couple (females) said they would not vote in the upcoming election because  Democrats are gay outing and gay bashing.

I was told that the gays are very upset over at Huffington Post but I can't confirm that..... I will not go over to that cesspool to look.

Is Disney/ABC trying to make up for "Pathway to 911" for the Clintonistas?
