It looks to me now like google's buyout proposal is just a formalizing of a live-in relationship.
Does anyone here have any experience with DivX, if so, could you tell us if it looks like it could become a good replacement for YouTube?
why is that video age restricted?
divx doesn't host video clips - they have tools for content creation.
I didn't know it was age restricted.
It wasn't restricted when you first posted it. Now it is. But at least it's still there. Great job, btw!
Isn't that what stage6 is?
That is the message when clicking your link Doug. I have never run into this before.
Someone wearing a bedsheet must have complained.
I never saw that before.
they need to do a better job advertising it, and get a better URL to enter it - with some catchy phrase or something.
I guess we'll just have to rely on word-of-mouth then.

And clicking "confirm" brings the same page up.
Not sure what is going on with them - but I suspect that you are right.
I am thinking about illustrating the song I did about Katie Couric's colonoscopy. That is when the doctors found her brain. I suspect that will be censored.
"If we don't post videos expressing our side, we can't complain that there are none."
I can't bother with it. I gotta make money.
I always wanted to be a teacher. The main reason for this drive to be a teacher was that I could counter the leftism taught at our public schools. I ponderer about for a long time. I then decided teaching wasn't what interested me. I wanted to make money.
google has a site....it is in 4th place or so. I think they are going after all the content, as well at the name.
Myspace and YouTube are now the most popular websites among the young demographic....adding YouTube to Googles ad sales team and tracking devices would create a larger value than the two separate companies.
1 + 1 = 3
They could every news story you read on google news, keywords in your google mail, your search terms and recommend videos based on your selections, and vice versa, all the while selling ads preferenced to you at every click.
If we don't post videos expressing our side, we can't complain that there are none.
YouTube will host it, but you have to post it.
Good point! Cant be speaking to the choir 100% of the time and then complain about the liberals outside.
